  1. Scope of Services

Bayside Exterior provides professional construction and remodeling services, including but not limited to: roofing, masonry, window and door installation, custom deck building, and interior remodeling (drywall, plaster, and painting). Each project is governed by a specific written contract that outlines the detailed scope of work.

  2. Estimates and Quotations

    1. Free Estimates: Initial estimates provided via the website or telephone are preliminary and non-binding.
    2. Final Quote: A binding quote will only be issued following a physical on-site inspection and the signing of a formal Service Agreement.
    3. Validity: Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, after which they are subject to change due to fluctuations in material costs.

  3. Payments and Deposits

    1. Retainer/Deposit: A non-refundable deposit (as specified in your contract) is required to secure your project start date and order necessary materials.
    2. Payment Schedule: Progress payments are required based on the milestones established in the signed contract.
    3. Late Payments: Bayside Property Solutions reserves the right to suspend all work if payments are not made according to the agreed schedule.

  4. Permits and Licensing

Bayside Exterior is a licensed and insured contractor. We perform all work in accordance with New York State and local building codes.
    1. The responsibility for obtaining and paying for specific municipal permits will be defined in the individual project contract.

To ensure a safe and efficient workspace, the customer agrees to:
    1. Provide full access to the property during agreed-upon working hours.
    2. Ensure access to basic utilities (water and electricity) if required for the project.
    3. Secure pets and remove personal valuables from the work area prior to the start of construction.

  6. Change Orders

Any modifications, additions, or deviations from the original contract requested by the customer must be approved in writing through a Change Order. These changes may result in additional labor/material costs and adjustments to the project timeline.

  7. Warranties and Claims

    1. Workmanship: We provide a limited warranty on labor as specified in your individual contract.
    2. Materials: Warranties for specific products (e.g., roofing shingles, windows, Trex decking, doors) are provided solely by the respective manufacturers.
    3. Notification: Any claims regarding workmanship must be submitted in writing within the warranty period stated in the contract.

  8. Limitation of Liability

Bayside Property Solutions is not liable for:
    1. Pre-existing structural damage or hidden defects (e.g., mold, termite damage, or rotted framing) discovered during demolition.
    2. Delays caused by extreme weather conditions, labor strikes, or global supply chain disruptions.
    3. Incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of the property during construction.

  9. Cancellations and Terminations

Project cancellations and deposit refunds are governed by the specific terms of the signed contract, in compliance with New York State's "Cooling-Off" period and consumer protection laws.

  10. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Nassau County, NY.
